Senior Store Assistant - Keyholder

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Store Assistant in Melton Mowbray to work 30 hours per week on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role is part of Toolstation’s retail team. Candidates must live locally and commute easily. Store hours are 7 AM–8 PM, so early starts and late finishes are required.

• Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers in finding tools and building supplies.
• Handle deliveries, unpack stock, keep the store clean, and prepare orders.
• Support colleagues and manage the customer experience; keyholder duties include opening/closing, assigning daily tasks, and short‑term supervision.
• Sell Toolstation Club and Trade Accounts, signing customers up.
• Perform warehouse tasks, stocking shelves and maintaining store standards.

• Friendly personality and ability to create a positive workplace.
• Reliability, flexibility and commitment to customers and team.
• Accountability – prior experience as a keyholder or supervisor preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn; experience is a plus but not essential.
