Bank Kitchen Assistant – The Amwell Care Home, Melton Mowbray | £12.21 per hour | Bank | Days

At The Amwell Care Home, our kitchen team is at the heart of our residents’ daily lives. Every meal matters, and as a Bank Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a key role in preparing, supporting, and maintaining a safe, high‑quality dining experience.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation:
    Assist with meal prep, helping the team get dishes ready efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness:
    Keep your area and equipment clean and hygienic, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Delivery Handling:
    Receive, check, and store deliveries safely and correctly.
  • Food Safety:
    Follow food hygiene and safety procedures, maintaining high standards.
  • Storage & Organization:
    Keep supplies and equipment tidy, stored safely, and ready for use.
  • Team

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with colleagues to support the smooth running of the kitchen.
  • Professionalism:
    Act courteously and professionally, contributing to a positive, respectful workplace.
  • Health & Safety:
    Follow safe working practices at all times.
About You

Skills: Organised, attentive to detail, and able to follow instructions accurately.

Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.

Experience: Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is helpful but not essential.

Teamwork: Able to work collaboratively, supporting the team and contributing positively.

Learning: Open to gaining new culinary skills and experience in a professional kitchen.
