If so, we are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic band 3 therapy technical instructor to join our home first and community therapy service within leicestershire partnership nhs trust (lpt). This is a full-time position that will allow you to use and develop your skills in both occupational therapy and physiotherapy, working with individuals in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.

our integrated community therapy service is a key part of the health and social care system across leicester, leicestershire, and rutland (llr). The service brings together community-based nursing, therapy, and adult social care teams to deliver flexible, person‑centred interventions designed to maximise independence, improve wellbeing, and prevent hospital admissions where possible. As a therapy technical instructor, you will play a crucial role in supporting these aims and helping people live well at home.

car driver and access to a car is essential for this post. If you are not a car driver or do not have access to a car we request an application is not submitted.

to work with qualified therapists and band 4 technical instructors within you team, to provide a high standard occupational therapy/physiotherapy service to all patients including completion of delegated tasks and joint visits.

to accept patients delegated by therapists and band 4's and carry own patient caseload within agreed guidelines, to manage own caseload to ensure an effective and efficient service is offered.

to be able identify and implement a range of treatment modalities with appropriate training and supervision, seeking appropriate guidance when needed.

to work unsupervised with patients and to report back to the supervising clinician and / or band 4 any relevant information regarding the patient and their circumstances.

you will receive regular supervision and take an active role in attending our technical instructor in service training programme.
