Registered Manager (RMN) – Mental Health Residential Service

Full-time | 37.5 hours per week

Are you an experienced mental health nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for innovation in care? We’re recruiting for a Registered Manager (RMN) to lead a newly established, purpose‑built 26‑bed residential service for adults with enduring mental health needs.

This is a rare opportunity to shape and manage an exciting new nurse‑led model of care, providing 24‑hour therapeutic and rehabilitative support within a safe and homely environment.

Key Responsibilities

As the Registered Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall management and performance of the service — ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care and positive outcomes for residents.

You will:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a skilled nursing and care team.
  • Ensure all support plans are person‑centred, regularly reviewed, and aligned with residents’ needs and goals.
  • Foster a positive, transparent culture that promotes safeguarding, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and health & safety standards.
  • Oversee budgets, occupancy, and resource management to ensure the service is financially sustainable.
  • Model values of respect, inclusion, and compassionate leadership in daily practice.
About You

You’ll be a confident, empathetic leader with the ability to balance quality care with operational excellence. This is a rewarding but demanding role that requires resilience and a genuine commitment to improving lives.

Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (
    NMC registered
    )
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards)
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a mental health or residential care setting
