The RoleA Consultant role in Old Age Psychiatry is available within the Older Adults Mental Health Team in the Scottish Borders. The successful applicant, accountable to the AMD, will provide intermediate level medical input, delivering care and promoting a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency approach.
Responsibilities- Provide intermediate level medical input and contribute to patient care within the Older Adults Mental Health Team.
- Promote a multidisciplinary/multi-agency approach to care.
- Participate in on-call arrangements (1 in
8). - Maintain professional standards and uphold NHS Borders values.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice; CCT or equivalent in Old Age Psychiatry.
- Approved Medical Practitioner or willing to gain approval once in post; MRC Psych or equivalent is essential.
Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry – NHS Borders Older Adults Mental Health Team. Full Time available, Part Time / Job Share applications welcome. Salary: £111,430 to £148,064 per annum for a basic 10 PA appointment; placement on scale depends on previous recognised experience. EPAs available subject to mutual agreement. On-call commitment 1 in 8.
