Optical Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager supports the daily operations, ensuring excellent patient care, efficient workflow, and high-quality eyewear services. This role assists the Optical Manager in supervising staff, driving sales performance, maintaining inventory, and providing expert optical guidance to patients.

• Assist the Optical Manager with daily operations, staff supervision, and scheduling.
• Provide outstanding customer service by helping patients select frames and lenses that meet their visual and aesthetic needs.
• Perform eyewear adjustments, fittings, and minor repairs to ensure comfort and proper vision correction.
• Accurately interpret prescriptions and ensure lenses are ordered and fabricated to specifications.
• Maintain accurate records, manage orders, and oversee inventory levels of frames, lenses, and accessories.
• Support and train new team members on optical procedures, sales techniques, and customer service standards.
• Help meet and exceed sales goals through team motivation, product knowledge, and effective merchandising.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, HIPAA, and state/federal optical regulations.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Assist with reporting, performance tracking, and operational improvements as directed by management.
