What You’ll Do as a Support Worker

No two days are the same — you’ll be providing a mix of practical support, personal care, and emotional encouragement, depending on each person’s individual needs.

  • Supporting with daily tasks such as shopping, meal preparation, light housework, and medication reminders
  • Providing companionship to promote emotional wellbeing
  • Assisting in the kitchen and encouraging involvement in meal planning and preparation
  • Planning and participating in fun activities at home and in the community
  • Accompanying individuals on day trips and outings
  • Supporting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect
  • Completing accurate documentation and care records
What We’re Looking For
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • A genuine passion for helping others live independently and confidently
  • Flexible and adaptable will to go the extra mile to make a positive difference to someone's life
  • Enthusiastic with excellent communication skills committed to developing positive working relationships
Benefits
  • Weekday Days up to £12.35 per hour
  • Weekday Evenings up to £13.00 per hour
  • Weekend Days up to £13.00 per hour
  • Weekend Evenings up to £14.00 per hour
  • Bank Holiday (Time and a half)
  • Paid business mileage (45p for cars)
  • Holiday top-up payments made for regular over time (T&C's)
  • Sleep in rate £80.19 per night
Shifts
  • Domiciliary care calls typically between 7am and 10pm
  • Supported Living 9:00am – 10.00pm, 24 hour shifts are 9:45am – 10.00pm, sleep in, 7.00am – 10.00am
  • Working alternate weekends essential
