$17.52 to $19.27 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Palm Bay. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs entry-level service work maintaining and making simple repairs to County grounds, buildings, roads, parks, and other facilities.

• No formal training or experience is required.
• SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment.
• Must be able to operate light automotive vehicles and less complex public works equipment and safely and effectively utilize hand and power-operated equipment used for site construction.
• Experience in constructing roads, drainage, and sidewalks is preferred.
• This position involves heavy physical labor performed outdoors with exposure to dirt, noise, fumes, traffic, moving heavy equipment, and extreme weather conditions.
• In the event of a hurricane, major storm, or any natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, employees will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
