Product Demonstrator Part Time - 8141

Acosta Group is currently hiring a Product Demonstrator to provide in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. The role is part‑time (no more than 25 hours per week) and is located in the retail store environment with limited travel.

Base Pay Range

$15.00/hr – $15.00/hr

Description

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining product knowledge, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies. The Associate intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner while maintaining a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.

Responsibilities
  • Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
  • Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
  • Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
  • Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
  • Access the internet, navigate the company's electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in using and navigating personal computer or mobile device applications and internal systems.
  • Local food handlers permit may be required.
  • English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
Physical Demands

The associate will be regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms (including overhead tasks up to 65 inches), talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Professional appearance and proper grooming are required. Specific retailer dress code requirements are included in the training documents.
