Overview

The Bike Technician is a role focused on providing a differentiated customer experience for cyclists. Responsibilities include building and repairing bicycles according to established procedures, using personal experience and industry research to recommend products that meet customer needs.

  • Create a world-class customer experience through passionate service and engagement, especially in the Bike Department.
  • Uphold standards for merchandise presentation.
  • Interact genuinely with customers, demonstrating passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment to their sport or activity.
  • Promote company programs such as warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty program, private-label credit cards, and seasonal promotions.
  • Achieve sales goals by selling bikes and related merchandise.
  • Build and repair bikes according to procedures; assist with assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
  • Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage.
  • Follow safety, loss prevention, and operational policies; maintain confidentiality.
  • Support the team across the store as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Preferred experience in building, repairing,, and selling bicycles.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift 15-35 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
