Job Summary
Are you passionate about ensuring product quality and conformance? The Land Electronics Quality Team in Melbourne, FL is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Quality Inspector - Receiving Inspection to join us. In this role, you will perform detailed inspections of products, components, and assemblies, ensuring they adhere to engineering designs and purchase order specifications.
Job Responsibilities- Perform complex inspection activities, to assess conformance of products to the design as defined by the engineering drawings and/or models
- Inspect products, components, subassemblies, and/or systems to ensure conformance to requirements
- Assist Quality Engineers with identifying non-conforming conditions of products that present existing or impending defective conditions at the system or subsystem level of assembly
- Perform material movement transactions after completing inspection process
- May specialize in receiving inspection, and Final Inspection, support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
- Strong attention to detail to perform thorough inspections and identify non-conformances
- Generate discrepancy notices and initiate Material Review Board actions
- Validate the quality of purchased BOM materials based on set acceptance criteria
- Ensure nonconforming material is properly segregated according to procedures and controlled until properly dispositioned
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel) and general PC skills to support documentation and data management tasks
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years relevant experience and in-depth knowledge of receiving inspection process
- Experience reading drawings and able to verify parts
- Experience reading mechanical drawings and able to verify part dimensions against drawing requirements
- Experience in operating Hexagon CMM Equipment and various measurement tools for validating dimensions
- IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 experience is preferred
- AS9102 FAIR Standard Experience Required
- Maintain ESD integrity within production environment where necessary
- Maintain a clean safe work environment and contribute to the 6S program and Lean concepts
- Communicating results, and necessary escalations to supervisors effectively

- Able to work 2nd shift, 4/10's, 4pm-2:30am EST and during training for 30-60 days 1st shift, 9/80, 5:30 am - 3:00 pm EST
