$17.52 to $19.27 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/EEL Administrative Office/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs experienced land management work on conservation lands, maintaining habitats, trails, equipment, and related property facilities and structures.

• Performs experienced land management work on conservation lands, maintaining habitats, trails, equipment, and related property facilities and structures.

• Two (2) years of experience in grounds and facility maintenance, and equipment repair, which includes six (6) months of experience with conservation land maintenance and related coursework in land management practices OR an Associates Degree in Environmental Sciences or a closely related field PLUS six (6) months of experience with conservation land maintenance and related coursework in land management practices. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, including mulching excavators, bulldozers, and various types of farming equipment is preferred.
• Special Requirements:
  Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a valid First Aid certification and a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved agency and maintain both certifications during the term of employment. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Background:
  The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration for the position if a Level I background criminal background investigation discloses disqualifying convictions as defined in AO-5. In case of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, full-time permanent employees may be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
