Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience, EPIC proficiency, and an active FL or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses EPIC as the primary documentation system
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required, or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, based on unit needs
- On-call required as needed
- Floating required to all four hospitals within the health system
- Block scheduling may be accommodated based on unit need and manager approval
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius restriction
- Candidates who have previously held an internal contracted position must wait at least 1 year after their end date before being eligible
- All requested time off must be finalized and submitted upfront — RTO will not be accepted after an offer is made
- Scrubs are provided in any solid color; tops and bottoms must match with no logos or prints
- Free parking is available with a decal provided at orientation
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Active FL state or compact RN license required at time of consideration — no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM/EFM) through AWHONN
- Preferred certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced
- EPIC experience required
- 2 professional references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) within the last year required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31 (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
