Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with Epic EMR experience and required night shifts.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, 18:45-7:15
- Patient ratio is typically 1:5
- Floating required to other units or hospital locations as needed
- Weekend shifts required, typically every other weekend or 6 weekends per 6-week period
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic EMR system; experience required
- Daily responsibilities include providing advanced nursing care for patients in the PCU
- Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing
- Mandatory modules completed during orientation and annually through the facility LMS
- Free parking provided with a decal given at orientation
- Scrubs required; any solid color, matching tops and bottoms, no prints or logos
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- No mileage radius rule applies
- All RTO must be requested before the interview and will be considered when scheduling
- Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU RN experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Two professional references from a manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director from the past year required
- Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31 with only medical or religious exemptions considered
- Candidates must wait one year after leaving an internal contracted position to be eligible
