Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU telemetry position requiring EPIC experience and a current FL or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
- Provides care for telemetry patients with a 1:5 nurse-patient ratio
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Requires every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, determined by unit needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to other PCU units or locations within the health system
- Uses EPIC EMR; experience required
- Primary responsibility is caring for PCU patients requiring telemetry monitoring
- Floating may include assignments at Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera locations
- Any color scrubs allowed, but tops and bottoms must match; no logos or prints
- Free parking is provided with a decal at orientation
- Timekeeping is managed via Kronos with badge swipe
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry RN experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- EPIC EMR experience required
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Must provide two professional references from authority figures within the past year
- Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31, with medical or religious exemptions accepted
- Candidates must have a one-year gap since any previous contracted employment with the health system
