Health First Careers is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN Registered Nurse to join our team at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida. This position will primarily work in the Progressive Care and Med Surg units, providing exceptional care to our patients.

As an RN Registered Nurse at Holmes Regional Medical Center, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing treatments as ordered by physicians

* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients

* Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

* Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times

* Act as a patient advocate and ensure that their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met

Qualifications:

* Active RN license in the state of Florida

* Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in Progressive Care or Med Surg units

* BSN degree preferred

* BLS and ACLS certifications

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

Education:

* Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing

* BSN required

Licensure:

* Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.

Certification:

* Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.

* Certification (s) as required by specific unit.

Experience:

* Must meet unit specific care requirements.

Language:

* Must be able to speak/understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks.

* Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

* Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.

* Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift

* Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift

* Potential for exposure to bio-hazardous waste, and known or unknown diseases

MENTAL DEMANDS:

* Must have ability to work in often stressful environment with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding.

* Must have ability to concentrate on multiple priority activities.

* Must have ability to respond appropriately to life threatening situations.
