We are looking for an
** Industrial/Manufacturing
** Engineer to join our team and support our Operations and the manufacturing of CNS (Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance) products in our Melbourne, FL this role, you will
** make an impact
** by evaluating and solving everyday manufacturing problems related to design, process, and supplier issues for the manufacture of high-quality electronic assemblies. You will provide technical support to operations in the form of enabling and improving the flow of manufacturing utilizing the LEAN principles.
* Drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple assembly process steps.
* Perform time studies to maintain standard timings used for operator productivity calculations, and to aid with staffing analyses.
* Identify opportunities to remove waste from processes and reduce standard times.
* Support Production Build Operators with immediate needs on Tooling and Processes to meet production schedule.
* Utilize drafting/modeling SW to design and implement new fixtures for process improvement.
* Develop and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs).
* Analyze and understand factory needs and requirements.
* Conduct Process Flow and line balancing analysis and drive improvements.
* Develop tools that enable manufacturing or increase production rates.
* Implement Procedure and process improvements based on safety, quality, and productivity.
* Identify and address safety concerns.
* Improving production facilities and equipment layouts.
* Provide information to management as the status of equipment, manpower, space and other elements affecting manufacturing.
* Identify needs for capital expenses and provide cost/benefit analysis and business need.
* Lean manufacturing experience.
* Experience with equipment and factory layouts.
* Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.
* Ability to organize and prioritize while adapting to changing priorities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
