Job Summary
Electrical Assembler I – Weekend Shift at Collins Aerospace located in Melbourne, FL. The role focuses on assembling electrical components on SMT lines, inspecting finished work, and maintaining production standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform staging operations and set up tasks.
- Load feeders and verify components against job setup documentation and BOMs.
- Operate SMT lines, monitor production processes, and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect own work to ensure compliance with workmanship standards, engineering requirements, and design specifications.
- Meet productivity expectations and customer deadlines.
- Comply with all Raytheon Technologies rules and regulations, including Environmental Health & Safety, Ethics & Compliance, Quality, and attendance requirements.
- Participate in cost‑reduction and continuous improvement plans/events.
- Take part in audits.
- Obtain necessary skills, knowledge, certifications and complete required trainings.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Report progress and updates to the lead or supervisor.
- Complete assigned tasks within the scope and skill level of this job description.
- Pass a soldering assessment after training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligibility to obtain required export authorizations.
- Career Readiness Certification (CRC).
- SMT (Surface‑Mount Technology) experience.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Ability to complete training modules associated with the job grade.
- Ability to follow assembly instructions.
- Comfortable working in a repetitive job environment.
- Reading and interpretation of safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Understanding of end uses of products being built.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail for safety and quality.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task.
- Team‑work skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Intermediate computer skills (typing, navigating screens).
- Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to follow direction from more experienced coworkers, leads, and supervisors.
- Capable of standing for 10+ hours.

Weekend shift:
Fridays–Sundays, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Onsite location. Must be able to train on the first shift.
