$16.87 to $18.56 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Grant/Valkaria/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and mandatory overtime. Performs entry level service work in the inspection of mosquito breeding areas, application of pesticides and related maintenance work.

• Six (6) months of experience performing manual labor or operating automotive or watercraft which involved keeping simple written records and/or reports.
• Six (6) months of experience using a personal computer or tablet.
• Education cannot be substituted for the required experience.

• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during term of employment.
• Must possess or obtain, within six (6) months of employment, certification as an Arthropod Control Applicator in accordance with the specifications set forth in Florida Statute 388.361(4).
• Must be physically capable at all times of properly wearing and utilizing the appropriate respiratory protection.
• Must be able to work extended hours during peak season, mosquito outbreaks, and fires and/or overtime.
• In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster which may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
