Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is searching for a Dev Ops Staff Software Engineer to join the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) Directorate in our Research and Advanced Design (R&AD) Division in support of R&D activities spanning multiple sectors The location for this opportunity is Melbourne, Florida and will be primarily based within our office spaces to support program and business needs.
Operating on our 9/80 schedule means you will get every other Friday off. The position does not have remote or Hybrid work available . The DIPN IPAT O&M Platform Engineer provides cradle to grave life cycle support of integrated applications through continuous updates and refinements of delivered software and systems utilizing modern Dev Sec Ops and automation practices.
Essential Functions:
* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
* Maintain and troubleshoot networking components, including VLANs, firewalls, switches, and routers
* Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, servers, and hardware.
* Deploy, manage, and support virtualized environments (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, or other hypervisors)
* Implement and manage core infrastructure services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, NAS, and Active Directory) Setup an overall Cloud-native Software Factory
* Manage and improve container orchestration and deployment strategies
* Support programs with integration and deployment automation in a cloud enabled environment
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and at least 12 years' relevant experience, or STEM master's degree with 10 years' relevant experience, or a STEM PHD with 8 years' relevant experience.
