Staff Cybersecurity Application Administrator/Architect – Secret – Melbourne, FL
Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to support the classified solutions team. The role requires on‑site, full‑time work at the Melbourne, FL location and a current U.S. Government Secret clearance (Top Secret clearance possible).
OverviewThe selected candidate will design and develop secure systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise‑wide cyber systems and networks, perform security risk assessment, hardening, and incident response, and integrate advanced forensic tools. The position does not offer telecommute options.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and support new cyber systems and applications.
- Define and implement security requirements, risk assessment, hardening, vulnerability testing, and incident response strategies.
- Integrate new architectural analysis and future trends, embed advanced forensic tools, and resolve integrations and testing issues.
- Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers.
- Interface with external entities, including law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
- Master’s Degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 12 years; OR Associate’s Degree with at least 14 years; OR High School Diploma with 16 years.
- Minimum 9 years performing information systems security duties.
- Security certification required: CAP, CASP+, Security
X, CISM, or CISSP. - Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator and/or Architect.
- Current DoD Secret level security clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security.
- Active Top Secret, TS/SCI, SAP/SAR access, or Polygraph.
- Experience with Certification and Accreditation of classified systems and Risk Management Framework.
- Experience managing Splunk indexers, search heads, forwarders, and deployment servers.
- Advanced technical knowledge of Splunk or McAfee/Trellix/HBSS.
- Experience developing and enforcing cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800‑53, CNSSI 1253, DoD RMF).
- Experience with Nessus/ACAS on large enterprise networks.
- Primary salary range: $152,900 – $229,300.
- Optional 9/80 schedule, 401k matching program, health, life, disability insurance, paid holidays, and PTO.
- Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, long‑term incentives for VP/Director.
