Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and provide goal-oriented, center-based therapy for pediatric clients. What You’ll DoAs an Occupational Therapist (OT), you’ll play an essential role in helping children achieve greater independence, confidence, and quality of life.
Your Responsibilities Include- Delivering occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician.
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify therapy needs, goals, and expected outcomes.
- Developing and implementing a personalized Plan of Care, coordinating with nurses and healthcare staff.
- Administering therapeutic techniques to meet developmental and functional goals.
- Maintaining open communication with families, team members, and physicians to ensure quality, consistent care.
- Ensuring patient safety and adherence to best practices.
- Acting as a resource and mentor for clinical staff.
- Supervising COTAs and HHAs as required.
- Participating in case conferences, in-services, and team meetings to support collaborative care.
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted Florida OT license.
- Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with care standards.
- One (1) year of recent experience in acute care or rehabilitation.
- Pediatric experience highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Compassionate communicator with outstanding organization and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and reposition patients safely.
- Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and twisting for extended periods.
- Strong visual and hearing acuity.
- Able to respond effectively to emergency situations both physically and mentally.
- Function comfortably in a variety of center-based environments.
- May involve exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive space for every child and family.
