- Providing Personal Care
:
Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. - Behavioral Support
:
Implement behavior management plans and support individuals in developing coping strategies. - Skill Development
:
Facilitate skill-building activities, including social skills, communication, and life skills training. - Crisis Intervention
:
Recognize signs of distress and de-escalate situations effectively and safely. - Documentation
:
Maintain accurate records of client progress, incidents, and daily activities. - Transportation
:
Assist clients with transportation to appointments, community activities, or school. - Collaboration
:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, nurses, and family members. - Training and Education
:
Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in behavioral health support.
Salary: Starts at $17.00 - $20.75 / hour PLUS additional compensation:
Shift differential (up to $3.00 / hour).
Relevant experience in field (up to $2.00 / hour).
Credit for higher education ($.48/hr for Bachelors degree; $.72 / hr for Masters degree).
Shifts: Currently hiring for 2nd shift (2:30pm to 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (10:45pm - 7:15am).
- Must be able to work weekends.
- For full-time, you will be required to work Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
- For part-time, you will be required to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
Paid time off (24 days per year, increase with years of service);

Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Social Work and experience in the field is preferred
Experience:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), DSP, Direct Care, Behavior Technician with experience working with IDD, Mental Health and/or dually diagnosed populations preferred
- Must be able to complete a two-week (Monday - Friday) new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Orientation is held in Titusville.
- Must be able to work weekends. For full-time, you will be required to work Friday, Saturday and Sundays. For part-time, you will be required to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
- Must be able to work holidays.
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include:
Drug Test, Physical, and TB Test. - Valid driver's license
- Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Must be able to drive a car and a passenger van (which holds up to 15 passengers).
