Accounts Receivable Specialist

Melbourne, FL (Onsite)
Thales is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the In‑Flight Entertainment (IFE) finance functions. The role includes collection, aging review, payment performance monitoring, customer account analysis and reconciliation, and ad‑hoc AR and cash collection reporting.
Key Areas of Responsibility- Collections and account management: daily collection activities, email reminders, statements, disputes, chargebacks, and third‑party collection agency escalation.
- Financial reporting and reconciliation: reconcile customer accounts, prepare A/R aging, collections reports, and other ad‑hoc cash reports; complete A/R month‑end closing.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: coordinate with Cash Posting, Invoicing, Credit Memo, Customer Service, Program Management, and BPO Partner; release sales orders from credit hold.
- Audit and compliance: prepare audit schedules, maintain internal control compliance, and keep sensitive data confidential.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of accounts receivable or billing experience in a mid‑to large‑size organization.
- Strong understanding of AR processes, revenue cycle, and compliance and audit requirements.
- Proficient with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and financial reporting tools; advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration across departments.
Position Requirements

Core Business Hours – 9/80 work schedule; overtime may be required. - Physical Environment:
Typical office environment with desk‑related work and computer. - Travel: 5–10% only as needed.
