Job DescriptionAn aerospace company is looking for an Avionics Systems Traffic Surveillance Architect to oversee the development, integration, and certification of advanced avionics traffic surveillance systems. You ll ensure MOPS compliance and other industry regulations, while also developing and documenting MOPS design and traffic surveillance systems. You ll act as the liaison between regulatory authorities and the avionics working groups. You ll be the primary point of contact and implement systems engineering best practices end to end, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is 5 days on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa or Melbourne, FL. This is a contract to hire position, 6 months to conversion.
Required Skills & Experience- 5+ years of experience in avionics and working with MOPS documentation
- Ability to develop and interpret the following MOPS documentation: DO-260C, DO-282C, DO-181F, DO-185B, DO-386, DO-317C, DO-328A, DO-365A
- Experience designing and developing system architectures for avionics traffic surveillance systems
- Experience integrating hardware, software, and communication protocols
- Experience managing SDLC from concept through deployment
