Systems Engineer with experience in modeling and simulation and/or digital engineering. Next Gen’s DE team builds high fidelity Digital Twins employing Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) approaches in support of new systems development for commercial and DoD/Intel customers.
The selectedengineerwillbe embedded with the customer and collaborate with fellow DE colleagues to solve complex technical tasks while becoming experts with and deploying cutting edge modeling and analysis tools. Establish and grow your Digital Engineering career with Next Gen today!
- As a self-starter, you will work with
MBSE, MS&A, domain SMEs,software and platform engineers to develop cutting edge software solutions for DoD mission critical programs of record, ranging from C2 to intel to acquisition - Deliver modeling simulation and analysis (MS&A) integrating Cameo/SysML, Cameo Simulation Toolkit,Model Centerand/or AGI STK tools and outputs
- Apply knowledge of model-based languages such as UAF andSysML
- Utilize MBSE tools such asMagic
Draw/Cameo and MS&A tools to develop detailed models that integrate sub-system models across multiple domains (avionics, RF, EW, communication, aerodynamics, acoustics, EMI, human factors, etc.) - Develop high-fidelity Comms modeling capabilities including emulation
- Develop automation capabilities and tying the Digital Thread
- Support engineering activities: trade studies, functional analysis, requirement decomposition/allocation, interfacedefinitionand specifications.
- Work within an Agile Project Management framework andDev Sec Ops culture
- Collaborate across stakeholders including customers,teammates and partners
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar
- 7+ years of systems and or software engineering experience with the DoD
- 5+ years working in Digital Engineering including MBSE and/or MS&A
- Solid understanding of systems lifecycle processes with Comms,RFor mission experience
- Experience with
SysMLusing Cameo/Magic Draw, Cameo Simulation Toolkit, Model Center and/or AGI SAM,Rhapsody or Sparx Enterprise Architect - Experience developing conceptual, logical, physical (MBSE) or analytical models (MS&A)
- Ability to develop systems deliverables, to include requirements, CONOPs, IDD/ICDs, SDDs, test plans/procedures
- Experience in Agile software systems development
- Ability to work closely with software engineers to evolve the systems architecture
- Ability to analyze problems with a flexible and creative approach, manage complex tasks and adapt to rapidly changing requirements
- Ability to learnnew technologies rapidly and implement in a dynamic environment
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and customer-facing skills
- Mustpossessan active Top Secret security clearance
- Experience with DoDAF (either UDPM and/or UAF)
- Deep experience integrating MBSE with MS&A environments, including orchestration across tools such as Cameo, AFSIM, STK, NGTS, ITASE, andModel
Center. - Experience with COTS MS&A tools: AGI STK, Phoenix Model Center , Dassault SOLIDWORKS, Keysight
EXata,System Vueor similar) - Experience developing CAD or CAE models
- Experience with one or more of the following programming languages:
Java, Python, C++ - Experience with
Dev Sec Ops including use of CI/CD pipelines - Ability to develop new plugins/scripts for MBSE and MS&A tools/frameworks
- Ability to obtain andmaintaina Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
