- As a member of the Trip Optimizer Software Development team, you will work closely with the Design and Systems Engineering teams to prototype and develop high quality software products that align with Systems and Subsystem Requirements, meeting Innovation product needs. You will report out to the Software Manager and the broader business unit to ensure we are meeting on‑time deliveries and delivering quality Software.
You will be investigating root‑cause analysis for necessary issues and implementing defect fixes as necessary by the business. - With deep expertise and knowledge of both IBM ELM and Tableau Desktop, you will be extracting ELM data, ingesting it into Tableau and creating dashboards and metrics.
- Potential for additional scope will be support in the IBM ELM tool as we populate data for several projects. We will need to expand our metrics for other projects.
- Perform data mining, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of insights.
- Integrate data from multiple sources as needed for comprehensive reporting.
- Support creation of automated data pipelines and workflows in future project phases.
- Extract, transform, and analyze data from IBM ELM tools (DOORS Next, Engineering Workflow Management, Engineering Test Management, etc.).
- Develop methods to efficiently pull and structure data for reporting and analytics.
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand ELM data architecture and traceability structures.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- Proficient in software design, methods, and architecture approaches.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles.
- 4‑5 years experience with IBM ELM Tool Suite.
- 4‑5 years experience with Tableau Desktop.
- Strong, hands‑on experience with IBM ELM (mandatory).
- Advanced expertise in Tableau for dashboard creation, metric design, and analytics.
- Proficiency in data mining, data preparation, and handling large datasets.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages (preferred, for automation).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
$45-$70 per hour. Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job‑related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure.
Work RequirementsThis position is classified as Remote within the United States.
Travel RequirementsDue to the nature of the work, 5% of travel is required.
