Manufacturing Engineer Co‑Op position will work with the integrated product team in our Melbourne, FL facility. This role is for a student majoring in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering who is interested in gaining hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment. The co‑op is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, from May/June through December (including the fall semester; students will take a semester off from coursework for the full engagement).

What You Will Do:
  • Design and plan process layout for assembly and materials handling.
  • Participate and help plan sequence of operations and specification procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment, influencing product performance.
  • Assist in developing manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control; may develop techniques.
  • Participate in cross‑functional team efforts to improve test yields, production throughput, test capacity, and overall product quality.
  • Identify component test failure trends and perform root‑cause analysis; implement corrective actions and prepare reports as required for production.
  • Study performance and reliability of existing test equipment and establish programs and solutions to decrease downtime.
  • Analyze test approach, plans, and processes for cost reduction, test efficiency, test yields, and manufacturing test capacity opportunities.
What You Will Learn:
  • Gain knowledge and adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Assist in providing guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering).
  • U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Additional Information:

Relocation:
This position is eligible for relocation.

Salaried: $37,000 – $82,000 USD. Includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, parental leave, paid time off, holidays, and potential incentive programs.
