Mission Networks is seeking a motivated individual looking for an exciting opportunity to join our FTI Deployment team. In this role, you will support supervision of FTI equipment deployment and service order installation and activation / provisioning as well as planning new services and network upgrades.
The candidate will collaborate with internal and external teams and work independently implementing scheduled network maintenance events. Other tasks include managing special projects supporting program requirements.
- Execute and document formal acceptance testing of FTI products and services per program requirements
- Knowledge of FTI Telecommunications equipment installation, configuration and testing standards including TDM, PDH, SDH, SONET, and IP network architecture
- Possess an intermediate (CCNA certification, or equivalent experience) level of experience troubleshooting IP network configurations
- Domain knowledge of data protocols including TCP/IP, DMVPN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, HSRP, IS-IS, LDP, PIM, MSDP, and Ethernet
- Strong customer interface skills supporting coordination of both Telco providers and L3
Harris field technician site access as required - Test, troubleshoot, and validate communication circuits per IEEE, ITU, TIA, ISO and FTI specifications
- Collaborate closely with FTI Engineering team members to resolve implementation and acceptance issues as needed
- Responsible to execute a coordinated Maintenance Request (MR) activity to support, Engineering changes per customer and program requirements
- Responsible for executing services disconnects throughout the establish Network / CPE per customer and program request via establish program disconnect process
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain an FAA Public Trust security clearance
- Have a thorough understanding of NAS Operations ticket management and scheduled maintenance processes and procedures
- Possess a strong technical understanding of Gigabit Ethernet/Fast Ethernet, DS1/T1, DS3, VT1.5, VTV, STS1, STSV and OC3-OC192 circuit types as well as familiarity with existing processes and procedures associated in provisioning and acceptance testing of these circuit types
- Have a thorough understanding of trouble tickets, ticket management, and Change Management processes and procedures
- Experience with Cisco Prime Optical (CPO) and Cisco Transport Controller (CTC) Fujitsu Net Smart
- Experience With Meta Solv And DICE Preferred
- MEF-CECP certification preferred
