Position Summary
The Learning Operations Specialist supports the efficient delivery of Learning and Development (L&D) programs, workforce planning and skills alignment within the Health First Integrated Delivery Network (IDN). The Learning Operations Specialist manages logistics, systems, and processes that ensure seamless learning experiences. The Learning Operations Specialist works closely with other departments to coordinate learning initiatives, track outcomes, and optimize training operations.
Primary Accountabilities- Develops, implements, and facilitates engaging and interactive learning programs using various delivery methods tailored to different learning styles utilizing adult learning principles.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy and relevance and update training materials based on feedback, industry trends, and best practices.
- Assists in the design and implementation of apprenticeships, internships, and career pathway programs.
- Supports in developing workforce strategies to align talent supply with business demands.
- Gathers feedback from participants to improve program delivery and impact.
- Maintains and updates course content, enrollments, and user data within the LMS.
- Monitors training participation, learner progress, and training effectiveness through analytics and reporting tools.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline and optimize learning operations for greater efficiency.
- Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNAs) to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
- Partners with key stakeholders to ensure training initiatives align with organizational goals, and employee development needs and business objectives.
- Designs and develops learning materials, including presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, tools and resources that enhance and reinforce learning.
- Helps guide the implementation of new learning tools and platforms to enhance training delivery.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Learning and Development, Business Administration, Workforce Development, or relevant field. - Work Experience:
Two (2) years’ experience working in L&D operations, workforce planning, training coordination, or similar role. - Licensure:
None - Certification:
None - Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and data reporting tools.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in workforce analytics tools and HR information systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with virtual learning platforms (MS Teams) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge talent trends, and workforce planning best practices.
- Understanding of working in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
- Education:
Master’s degree in relevant field. - Work Experience:
Five (5) years’ experience working in L&D operations, workforce planning, training coordination, or similar role. - Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated facilitation skills and ability to engage an audience.
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize multiple tasks with sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping.
- Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
- Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
- May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
