POSITION SUMMARY
The Interior Designer I role at Embraer Executive Jets is an entry-level position that supports the aircraft interior specification process for Embraer’s executive aircraft. Working under the guidance of senior designers, this role assists in preparing customer-facing materials, organizing specification documentation, and supporting customer specification sessions. The position offers hands‑on exposure to luxury aircraft interiors, cross‑functional collaboration, and the fundamentals of aviation interior design while developing professional design and client‑service skills in a highly regulated environment.
JOBRESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist designers with preparation for customer specification sessions (in‑person and virtual), including organizing materials, updating selections, and documenting customer preferences.
- Support Sales visits and showroom tours by helping prepare presentation materials and providing basic overviews of the interior specification process under supervision.
- Help translate customer selections into organized specification packages and internal documentation using established standards and templates.
- Produce sketches, illustrations, material and finish boards, and basic 2D/3D visualizations with guidance from senior team members.
- Support collaboration with Contracts/Configuration, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Interiors/Completions teams by tracking information and incorporating feedback.
- Assist in ensuring interior selections align with quality standards, certification requirements, and program constraints.
- Contribute to a professional, service‑oriented customer experience while maintaining confidentiality.
- Actively learn about aircraft interior materials, processes, and aviation standards.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, industrial design, architecture, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant design experience, including internships or academic projects.
- Client‑facing presentation exposure is a plus.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365 Products.
- Foundational sketching and presentation skills.
- Basic understanding of interior materials and finishes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with respect for confidentiality.
- Ability to work safely and professionally while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
- Occasional travel may be required.

- Meets work schedule requirements and performs other duties as assigned.
