Accounts Payable Specialist

IDR is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a top client for an opportunity in Melbourne, FL. The role focuses on high-volume AP processing within a dynamic, fast-paced finance environment.

• Process vendor invoices and payments on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Prepare accounts payable aging reports and weekly cash requirement forecasts for multiple entities.
• Review invoice batches for accuracy, ensuring proper general ledger and period posting.
• Initiate various payment methods, including checks, wires, and ACH payments, both domestic and international.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and maintain vendor records.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable AP/general ledger systems, chart of accounts, and corporate procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, knowledge of basic accounting principles, and data analysis capabilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and adaptable to various software databases.
