* Position overview:
** The Landscape Designer Sales Representative generates and develops new business opportunities related to landscape design and installation projects. Overall responsibilities include lead generation and sales, client consultation, design and estimating, and client relationship management. These responsibilities revolve around prospecting, designing, and selling value added landscape installation projects to an array of clients including homeowners, general contractors, property management companies, architects, etc.
** JOB / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
** The Landscape Designer Sales Representative duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
* Business development to help generate and follow up on leads that result in new landscape installation business and client relationships.
* Meet with clients to understand their property, aesthetics, budget, and goals to translate into creative and functional landscape designs all while nurturing long-lasting relationships.
* Lead the design process in terms of site analysis, concepts, material selection, presentations, renderings, budgets, contracts, and permitting.
* Support estimating with takeoffs, data input, problem solving, and value engineering.
* Manage construction documentation, permitting, and site visits to ensure design intent is realized.
* Serve as the ongoing design voice for the client, strengthening long-term relationships.
* Network with architects, builders, and other residential professionals to support marketing and lead generation via various industry organizations and events.
* Promote and integrate additional company offerings such as landscape maintenance, Botanica ecological offerings, snow removal, etc.
* Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed established revenue targets.
* Work closely with project managers and installation teams to ensure design integrity and client expectations are maintained throughout the installation process.
* Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
* Provide weekly sales activity reports as it relates to current leads using our CRM software.
* Develop client relationships through being available for meetings, working collaboratively to accomplish goals and maintaining close communication to drive sales and satisfied clients.
* Ability and willingness to do other tasks as requested or required of the position
** JOB QUALIFICATIONS
**** Education/ Experience
*** Bachelor’s degree or higher in Landscape Architecture or associated field
* 3-5 years’ experience within the landscape industry as landscape designer or equivalent with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
* Valid driver’s license
** Skills / Competencies
*** Proficiency in AutoCAD/Vectorworks, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; strong hand-rendering skills are a plus.
* Proven ability to manage client relationships and present/ sell designs with confidence.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
* Proactive, self-motivated, innovative, collaborative, and a proven problem solver
* Proficient with computers, math, and overall landscape business and horticultural practices
* Team player with positive attitude and proven ability to work hard in a fast-paced environment
* Urgency to grow and improve the business
* Strong design sensibility with the ability to link architecture, landscape, and client vision…
