Van Driver – Medina County Veterans Service Office

Medina County Veterans Service Office is a state‑mandated agency based in Medina, Ohio, dedicated to providing temporary aid and assistance to veterans, dependents, and widows in times of need. They are committed to supporting and aiding veterans in the Medina County community.

• Operate a passenger van on a deviated fixed route and/or demand response basis.
• Transport, assist, and escort passengers to and from designated locations.
• Maintain records, logs, and reports: passenger cancellations, no‑shows, vehicle inspection reports, mileage logs.
• Ensure safety of van and passengers by enforcing rules of conduct and operation.
• Adhere to check‑in and check‑out times as scheduled.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections to identify damaged or defective equipment and perform minor maintenance.
• Enter all trip data on the manifest as trips are performed.
• Complete daily report forms.
• Clean the vehicle.

This is a part‑time hourly position (20–29 hours per week). Workday is from 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM unless otherwise directed; overtime is subject to approval per County Policy. No benefits are provided.

In accordance with the Ohio Revised Code Title 59, the applicant must be a veteran or, if a qualified veteran is not available, the spouse, surviving spouse, child, or parent of a veteran.
