The Sales Tax Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of Sales and Use Tax compliance, including the accurate preparation, filing, and timely payment of tax returns in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This role also assists with tax accounting functions and supports tax‑related special projects as needed to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across the organization.

• Sales & Use Tax Compliance – Prepare and file monthly and quarterly state sales and use tax returns accurately and on time, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations.
• Audit Support & Representation – Assist with sales tax audits by responding to information requests, compiling required documentation, and supporting the presentation of the company’s tax positions.
• Exemption Certificate Management – Review, approve, and maintain customer exemption certificates, ensuring accurate records and timely system updates.
• Tax Research & Regulatory Monitoring – Research and interpret multi‑state sales and use tax laws, monitor legislative changes, and maintain accurate tax rates and rules within tax software systems.
• Process Improvement & Issue Resolution – Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy through process enhancements and technology, while resolving customer, vendor, and tax authority inquiries and notices.

• Education & Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred with 1–3 years of related experience, or 3–5 of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Indirect Tax Background – Minimum of one year of experience working within an indirect tax or sales and use tax environment.
• Sales Tax Knowledge – Strong understanding of state sales and use tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them accurately across transactions.
• Tax Research & Analysis – Proven experience conducting tax research, analysis, and interpreting findings to support compliance and business decisions.
• Advanced Excel Skills – High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and What‑If analysis; experience with data integration tools is a plus.
