Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
South Country Co-op is hiring a Seasonal-Agro Clerk (Warehouse), to join our team at Cypress Agro Centre in Cypress County, AB . If you’re passionate about providing exceptional customer experiences, we’d love to hear from you!
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include assisting customers, loading products, handling inventory, shipping/receiving, and upholding housekeeping standards, all while ensuring a safe, organized, and professional warehouse environment. This position requires a positive attitude, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs
- Assist with loading products and locating items in the warehouse
- Perform stocking, pricing, and inventory control
- Assist with shipping and receiving procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
- Ensure proper handling and storage of products and materials
- Support adherence to asset protection and loss prevention procedures
- Operate equipment such as forklifts or skid steers (if certified or trained)
- Uphold South Country Co-op’s standards for safety, teamwork, and service excellence
- Educate customers on the benefits of membership in South Country Co-op
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age and completed Grade 9
- Experience in a warehouse or agricultural setting is an asset
- Must be physically able to lift over 55 lbs. regularly
- Forklift and skid steer experience considered an asset
- Mechanically inclined individuals are encouraged to apply
- Comfortable working in outdoor and extreme weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to adapt to new technology and systems
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- High level of integrity, dependability, and professionalism
- Proven ability to work independently or as part of a diverse team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
Work Schedule:
This position requires availability from Monday to Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday 9am-4pm
