CNC Operator Inspector

RoleThe CNC Operator & Inspector position within the Production department is a technical position that inspects threaded pipe for quality assurance as well as operates and programs the CNC Machine. This role includes inspection, operation and setup. This facility manufactures threaded connections and can produce over 200 types of premium connections proprietary to Tenaris as well as API standard connections. Focus can be on either production pipe where efficiencies and volumes are key in production OR on more complex accessory pieces where quality and accuracy are key in production.
Tenaris requires employees to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and fit test for this position as it is a safety sensitive position.
Responsibilities- Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment
- Create premium threading connections by operating CNC Machine
- Setup CNC programs to meet various requests
- Ability to read and interpret product CAD drawings, charts, and tables
- Using power and manual tools, complete tasks efficiently and to quality standards
- Ability to set up gauges and adjust tools for inspection purposes
- Perform inspections and ensure product quality complying with defined standards
- Reporting Non-Conformity Rejects (NCR) and manufactured product deviations to the quality department
- Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
- Complete customer return inspections and verifications as requested
- Assist with various audits including ISO, API, Quality and Safety Audits
- Carry out duties in an effective manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards
- Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctioning equipment
- Attend and collaborate in training activities to maintain and increase the company knowledge
- Proactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities
- Actively participate in company safety procedures and programs: correct unsafe work practices or situations; follow reporting protocols for violations; participate in the Hazard Identification process
- Perform other duties as required, including, but not limited to basic maintenance, housekeeping and administrative duties
- Minimum requirement of 2-3 years’ experience working as a CNC Operator / Lathe Operator (Okuma, Mazak, Mori Seiki)
- Manual labor work experience in an industrial setting
- Day and Night shift available
- 12 hours per day
- Day shift: 6:00 AM - 6 PM
- Night shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Rotating schedules, Monday - Saturday
