Seagate’s Supply Planning organization is transforming how we plan, align, and optimize our global supply chain. Our mission is to embed AI and advanced analytics into planning workflows to improve agility, accuracy, and efficiency. As part of this transformation, we are expanding our team in Singapore to support high-impact AI initiatives across the supply planning organization including supply-demand matching, inventory optimization, and scenario planning and more.

As a Junior Data Scientist, you will contribute to the development and deployment of AI/ML solutions that enhance supply planning performance. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams in Singapore, Thailand, China and the US to translate business challenges into data science problems, build predictive models, and deliver actionable insights. This role is ideal for mid-level professionals with strong technical foundations and a passion for solving complex supply chain problems.

• Develop and validate predictive models and optimization algorithms to support supply-demand alignment, inventory management, and planning cycle improvements.
• Build scenario planning tools and simulations to evaluate planning decisions under uncertainty.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering using large-scale supply chain datasets.
• Collaborate with planning, engineering, and IT teams to integrate models into enterprise systems and ensure usability by planners.
• Document methodologies, validate model performance, and iterate based on planner feedback.
• Contribute to Seagate’s AI Hub by sharing reusable components and insights.
• Participate in global collaboration with US-based teams, maintaining effective communication across time zones.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, Tensor Flow) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, forecasting, and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with supply chain concepts such as demand planning, inventory optimization, and logistics.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-regional teams.
• Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Embrace asynchronous communication and global collaboration best practices to ensure effective teamwork across time zones.

• 3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or supply chain modeling.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data pipeline tools is a plus.
