In this role, you will join a team of Asset Integrity Technologists and Engineers who deliver inspection, repair, corrosion management, and risk?based assessments to ensure asset reliability and regulatory compliance. The position offers broad exposure to upstream operations while developing technical depth across multiple integrity disciplines.
Key Accountabilities
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of upstream pipeline integrity management practices.
Apply risk assessment methodologies to ensure assets remain within tolerable safety, environmental, compliance, reliability, and economic risk levels.
Collaborate with Integrity team members, Operations, Production, Engineering, and Management to deliver comprehensive Asset Integrity Management programs addressing corrosion, inspection, monitoring, and mechanical integrity threats.
Support programs including:
Corrosion control initiatives
Inspection and monitoring programs
Metallurgical upgrades
Design and process modification reviews
Detection and measurement systems
Analyze inspection data, failure investigations, risk assessment results, and operating conditions to identify degradation mechanisms and implement suitable mitigation and monitoring strategies.
Oversee corrosion monitoring and chemical inhibition programs.
Coordinate cathodic protection activities for pipelines and facilities.
Assist with asset maintenance programs, including tank inspections and ensuring regulatory compliance for pressure vessels and PSVs.
Develop and maintain inspection and maintenance schedules to support annual budgeting.
Reconcile, update, and maintain equipment inventory databases.
Coordinate maintenance and repair procedures in a manner that minimizes operational downtime.
Work closely with third?party vendors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Participate in Corporate Integrity Network meetings and liaise with regulators as required.
What You Bring To
The Role
Minimum 3 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience.
A related technical degree or diploma; professional or certified designations are considered an asset.
Pipeline experience and completion of NACE/AMPP Corrosion courses are considered an asset.
Working knowledge of applicable pipeline codes and standards, including CSA Z662 and regional regulatory directives.
Experience coordinating pipeline maintenance work activities.
API certifications viewed as an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and integrity management software such as Accumap, Maxi-Trak, Abacus, or Maximo.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as a self?starter.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
