TEICON ENGINEERING is currently recruiting for a Construction Interface & Work Package Coordinator (m/f/d), either on a fixed-term contract or as a freelance consultant.
Position: Construction Interface & Work Package Coordinator (m/f/d)
Location: Alberta, Canada
Type: Full Time, Fixed-term or Freelance
Start Date: 01 September 2025
Duration: Until 31 March 2028, with possibility of extension
Workload: 56 hours/week, 6 days/week
YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENTJoin a landmark clean energy project in Alberta, supporting the construction of one of the world’s largest clean hydrogen and ethylene production facilities. Help shape a net-zero industrial site and contribute to decarbonization through advanced construction methods and smart planning.
- Location: Alberta, Canada
- Start Date: 01 September 2025
- Contract Type: Fixed-term employment or freelance
- Duration: Until 31 March 2028, with extension potential
- Workload: 56 hours/week, 6 days/week
- Coordinate the implementation of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodology on site.
- Plan, coordinate, and track Construction Work Packages (CWP) and Installation Work Packages (IWP).
- Ensure IWPs are constraint-free before release, including material, documentation, HSE, and access.
- Support contractor’s workface planners in daily work planning.
- Act as interface among construction, engineering, project controls, material management, and HSE.
- Train and coach personnel on AWP/WFP procedures if needed.
- Monitor workface planning effectiveness and report progress and deviations.
- Align with construction schedule and interface management procedures.
- Degree in construction, process, mechanical engineering, project management, or related, or technical apprenticeship with relevant experience.
- Experience in roles like Construction Planner, Workface Planning Coordinator, Package Manager, etc., on complex industrial sites.
- Solid background in large-scale industrial construction, preferably in petrochemical, refinery, or process plants.
- Familiar with field planning, work package prep, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Structured, reliable, and communicative; able to work in matrix and dynamic environments.
- Understanding of construction workflows, documentation, and logistics.
- Fluent in English, familiar with international standards and safety regulations.
