CNC Operator

People Share is hiring a CNC Operator in Broomall!

CNC Operator Details:

• Monday-Friday, 7am-330pm
• $30-$36/HR based on experience
• Paid weekly

CNC Operator Description:

• Analyze work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to determine machining strategy, tooling, and sequence of operations
• Independently program CNC mills and lathes using G-code and machine-specific software
• Set work offsets, tool registers, compensation, and conditional switches
• Perform advanced machine setups including indicating vises, tramming heads, and configuring fixtures
• Monitor machining processes to maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements
• Identify and correct tooling, programming, or machine-related issues in real time.
• Inspect completed and in-process parts using precision measuring instruments
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance per manufacturer specifications
• Diagnose machine issues and coordinate repairs as needed
• Maintain tooling conditions by sharpening or replacing worn tools
• Monitor raw material and tooling inventory; anticipate material needs and communicate shortages or requirements to supervision

CNC Operator Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience required
• Experience with Haas CNC machines required
• Extensive programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes
• Experience in custom manufacturing, short-run production, or architectural metal fabrication strongly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of G-code programming
• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
• Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently plan, execute, and optimize complex machining operations
