Security Officer – Providence Medford Medical Center

We are seeking a full‑time, day‑shift security officer to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.

Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer and performs a variety of security protective duties to safeguard patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities.

• Oregon Private Security Armed or Unarmed Professional certification from the Oregon Department of Public Safety upon hire
• Private Security Temporary Work Permit PS‑20 upon hire
• Driving may be necessary as part of this role; proof of driver license and auto insurance required
• One year of experience using a personal computer with standard Microsoft applications

• College‑level coursework in criminal justice, social work, psychology or a related social science field
• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of security/law enforcement experience such as corrections, police, reserve or military police
• Direct patient care experience in a healthcare industry

Pay Range: $19.72 – $30.17 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives or bonus opportunities.
