Overview

The Rogue Valley Manor, Medford’s premier upscale senior living community, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Sous Chef or equivalent roles to help lead our team of culinary professionals for our fine-dining restaurant, upscale casual Bistro, catering services, and/or all other areas of our culinary program. We are not a nursing home or typical retirement community.

The successful candidate will find great satisfaction in making people happy through food and in helping others develop their potential through strong, effective leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the culinary team across multiple dining venues including a fine‑dining restaurant, upscale casual Bistro, and catering services.
  • Collaborate with management to develop menus, coordinate kitchen operations, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Ensure consistent working hours and avoid late‑night closing shifts, providing a stable work environment for the team.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2‑4 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role.
  • Valid Food Handlers card required.
  • Serv Safe Food Safety Manager certificate is a plus.
Compensation

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 / hr DOE
