Full‑Time employment with successful completion of the class. Facility pays testing and license fees for successful graduates.
Class schedule:
- January 26th, 2026 – Classroom:
Monday–Thursday 9:00 am–3:30 pm;
Clinical:
Monday–Friday 6:00 am–2:30 pm - March 9th, 2026 – Classroom:
Monday–Thursday 3:00 pm–9:30 pm;
Clinical:
Monday–Friday 2:00 pm–10:30 pm
This is a great start to become a Nursing Assistant in the State of Oregon and to begin a healthcare career. Avamere offers tuition reimbursement for Nursing School or other Healthcare Professional courses after one year of full‑time employment.
Requirements- 100% in‑person attendance to all scheduled program sessions; no online option
- Must pass a background check
- Basic Life Support Certification – offered during the class
- Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
- Review care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident’s daily routine have been made.
- Inform the Nurse Supervisor of any changes in the resident’s condition so that appropriate information can be entered in the care plan.
- Assist residents with daily needs, including preparation for activity and social programs, and transporting residents to/from appointments.
- Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
- Ensure that residents’ rooms are ready for receiving and make residents comfortable.
- Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
- Must possess a minimum of a 10th grade education.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Effectively communicate necessary resident information to Charge Nurses, Director of Nursing, and/or Administrator.
- Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
