Position Overview:
The Oregon Department of Justice’s Division of Child Support (DCS) seeks a collaborative self‑starter to join the management team as a Child Support Supervisor 1 in the Medford office.
The role involves directing work, supporting branch staff, and developing branch and program goals. It includes leadership responsibilities, representation in community and intergovernmental activities, and participation in the establishment of parentage, child support, and health care obligations.
Key responsibilities include supervising employee personnel, fiscal practices, and operations of the assigned office, and working closely with another Child Support Supervisor to manage program execution.
Desired Experience & Qualifications- Three years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience.
- OR A bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Experience assessing and coaching individuals to meet production and work quality goals.
- Experience collaborating, team building, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions in a team environment.
- Broad knowledge or ability to learn about various areas of the Oregon Child Support Program, including intergovernmental, finance, case management, enforcement, and establishment.
- Ability to plan and perform assignments with minimal supervision.
Final candidates must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint‑based criminal background check. A driver history check will be included for positions requiring state vehicle driving privileges.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the other Child Support Supervisor as part of the Medford office management team.
- Provide supervision and leadership to the office team through coaching and maintained trainings.
- Review and develop short‑term and long‑term goals for performance and measure outcomes.
- Participate in the establishment and implementation of plans to meet the Division of Child Support Mission.
- Offer advice, make recommendations, and provide guidance to overcome operational obstacles.
