Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehabilitation

Location: Medford, OR

Start Date: 04-06-2026

End Date: 07-06-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day) with one regular weekend shift per week (day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Evaluate adult patients and develop individualized plans of care focused on functional independence
  • Provide skilled therapy for inpatient rehabilitation patients including orthopedic and neurological diagnoses
  • Perform adaptive equipment assessments and train patients and families on safe use
  • Deliver hands-on treatment including lifting/transfer training and modalities as appropriate
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate discharge planning and community re-entry
  • Document assessments, interventions and progress efficiently in Epic
  • Float to other inpatient units (ICU, telemetry, med-surg, ED, surgical units) as clinical needs require
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety and injury prevention
Qualifications
  • Occupational Therapist license in Oregon or license-pending candidates welcome (LIC PEND explicitly noted)
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical OT experience (1Y / 1st timers OK)
  • BLS certification required or willing to obtain (BLS preferred)
  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, or adult rehab settings preferred
  • Comfort using Epic for documentation and charting
  • Willingness to float across units and work one regular weekend shift per week
  • Strong clinical skills in adaptive equipment assessment, FIM, and discharge planning
Knowledge & Skills
  • Evaluation and plan of care development
  • Reassessments, documentation and discharge planning
  • Functional Independence Measure (FIM) scoring
  • Adaptive equipment assessment (adult) and training
  • Home exercise program design and patient/family education
  • Lifting and transfer training and safety techniques
  • Modalities/manual skills: biofeedback, electrical stimulation, myofascial release
  • Orthopedics and neurological rehab (hip/knee replacement, TBI, CVA, Parkinson’s, SCI)
  • Prosthetic training and functional capacity evaluation
  • Comfortable charting in Epic and working within an interdisciplinary team
