About the Position

We are looking for a Residential Care Associate I to join our team at The Beckett Center in Medford, Oregon. The Residential Care Associate I will provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients and offer personal care services that support individuals in developing appropriate daily living skills and independent activities of daily living to increase or maintain their level of functioning.

Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, they will pass medications and perform delegated medical care as prescribed, transport clients to and from the program as necessary, and maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services.

This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Training Program

With our MHACBO‑accredited training program, you will earn CEUs toward applicable mental health certifications, attend required paid training, and receive qualified clinical supervision gaining on‑the‑job experience.

Work Schedule

Friday through Monday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Part‑time, Day)

What You’ll Make

$20.60 – $21.86 per hour, DOE/Credentials. Additional 5% language differential offered for bilingual or multilingual candidates.

What You’ll Need
  • Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) preferred
  • A dedication to the wellbeing of each resident and helping them complete their activities of daily living (ADLs) and independent activities of daily living (IADLs)
  • Valid driver’s license from state of residence (or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire) and safe driving record
  • Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check

The Beckett Center is a 14‑bed, licensed crisis residential facility serving adults experiencing a mental health crisis. It offers private rooms, ADA‑accessible bedrooms and baths, multiple community areas, a large kitchen, and secured outdoor space.

Columbia Care Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.

Direct Care staff must be 18 or older at the time of hire per OAR 309‑035‑0135.

Physical Demands

The position requires the ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds. It may also require the occasional use of ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable. Successful completion of crisis de‑escalation and CPR trainings is required.
