Description
The Patient Authorization and Referral Representative (PARR) is responsible for implementing policies and procedures within the Referral Operations department at Providence Medical Group. The role supports specialist referral processing, diagnostic authorizations, prior authorization, denials/appeals, and training. PARR ensures timely scheduling of requested services, communication across the continuum of care, and improved satisfaction for patients, providers, staff, and external contacts.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in the health care industry or related field
- Experience in physician office, revenue cycle, physician or hospital billing, health insurance, outpatient ambulatory, or clinical quality
- 2 years of experience in a referral management functional area such as prior authorization, referrals, appeals, business office, or insurance health plans
- Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 2 years experience in a healthcare system
- Experience in professional billing revenue cycle management
- Epic software experience
- Experience in database management and spreadsheets
