This position will perform duties related to the daily and annual requirements of the LGBTQ2
SIA+ Student Success Grant, including activities of the grant application: support for student clubs at partner district schools, planning and implementation of the annual Unity Conference, planning and hosting quarterly family engagement events, supporting partner districts to improve policies and practices, support the distribution of resources and materials to students, families, and school staff. This position is grant‑funded and will go through June 30, 2028, when the funding will be reevaluated.

Southern Oregon ESD is located in the Rogue Valley, the cultural and economic heart of southern Oregon, home to legendary snow‑skiing, white‑water rafting, kayaking, hiking, fishing, as well as numerous cultural venues and events such as art galleries, the Britt Music Festivals, the Ashland Independent Film Festival, and the renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
Program Facilitator I (Focal Student Groups) Position GoalTo provide program support under the direction of a supervisor by assisting in achieving program goals, maintaining accurate data, and supporting implementation activities. This position focuses on operational support and coordination to ensure program objectives are met in alignment with Board policy, procedures, and agency expectations.
Essential Functions- Support the implementation of assigned program activities under the direction of a supervisor.
- Collect and maintain program data to support supervisors in decision‑making and compliance tracking.
- Facilitate day‑to‑day program operations and logistics.
- Assist in program communications with schools, districts, and community partners.
- Support the preparation of materials for reports and documentation as directed.
- Communicate with the Business Office regarding expenditures and budgeting needs.
- Participate in implementing program evaluation tools and processes.
- Support professional development (PD) activities and assist in coordination as assigned.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with SOESD employees, districts, and external partners.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development relevant to assigned work.
- Follow established SOESD policies, administrative procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Associate’s degree or work experience in similar roles equivalent to three (3) years.
- Experience supporting program operations or projects with established goals or timelines.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse communities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
LOCATION: In person at the Medford Office, 101 N. Grape Street, Medford, OR 97501.
LENGTH OF POSITION: 0.4 FTE / 190 Days (academic position)
SALARY: Per classified collective bargaining agreement: $22.86/hr to $27.37/hr for the school year.
