Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician - Make a Meaningful Impact in Patient Care

This pivotal role offers the opportunity to engage in comprehensive, compassionate care through a mix of onsite and telehealth services, supporting patients and their families during challenging times. Required Skills:

  • Active Oregon medical license and DEA registration
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM), with substantial hospice experience
  • Proven experience or significant exposure to hospice care settings
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills, empathetic patient interaction, and critical thinking
  • Flexibility to work a standard schedule, with willingness to share call duties, including nights and weekends
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Prior experience in telehealth service delivery
  • Familiarity with hospital-based hospice programs
  • Additional certifications in end-of-life or palliative care
  • Fluency in multiple languages to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • Medical Degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of residency in FM or IM
  • Demonstrated experience in hospice and palliative medicine, preferably in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Active Oregon medical license and DEA in good standing
Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work onsite as needed, with potential future onsite requirements
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with call responsibilities approximately 4-6 nights monthly and one weekend per month
  • Ability to manage shifts involving complex patient care, crisis visits, and admissions
  • Must adhere to all applicable state, federal, and local laws concerning licensure, certification, and practice
